Rookie Tackle with TackleBar

 TackleBar® is a Limited Contact game that is designed as a game to transition athletes to tackle. Worn with traditional football equipment, TackleBar Football includes a harness that is attached around players’ midsections and holds two removable foam bars on the lower back. The “Wrap and Rip” technique has been developed to teach proper tackling technique, while working to eliminate the big hits and high impact collisions by keeping players on their feet. It provides a true simulation of live tackling and seamlessly transitions them into full tackle games (think “live on your feet” or “thud” tempo).

St. Ann Golden Eagles believes safety must be a priority for our primary sport to continue to evolve. As our organization continues to grow, the desire is to have kids grow into tackle football instead of diving right in. 

TackleBar football provides our organization a safer option for learning tackle football fundamentals while allowing the kids an opportunity to get used to wearing the equipment and playing like their favorite NFL star. Little Golden Eagles Football League will launch in the Summer of 2023 for players in PK-K-1st grade focusing on developing and transitioning players in to "Full Tackle Football".

St. Ann Golden Eagles is starting our own youth football league for kids in PK-K-1st. We believe many parents are looking for ways for their younger players to be involved in football while reducing the risks attributed to tackle football.  TackleBar football is the perfect platform to offer our "littles".  TackleBar provides a "Safer" way to introduce the fundamentals of tackle football to young athletes.

Our hope for the initial 2023 season is that we will have at least 4 teams of 7-8 athletes / team. Each team will play 6 on 6 football on a shortened field. Games will be at St. Ann Field (dates and times tbd)

Registration opens March 15, 2023. 

• $75 per player
• Player must be in PK-K
• Includes Shoulder Pads, Jersey, TackleBar system
